My dad loves Wester Swing, but doesn't have email. So I'll print out any stories or news and pass along to him through other means. He'll be glad to know I've got him linked to your website.

Thank you for helping western swing stay alive, and your dedication to the best of the best western swing bands

The closest a western swing band came to the Bob Wills Band was The Miller Brothers band out of Wichita Falls. They played at the Eddy County Barn Dance, Carlsbad, New Mexico in the early 1950's. The Texas Playboys never came to that part of New Mexico, If they had southeastern New Mexico would have been there and all of West Texas. Thanks for what you have done and are doing now for western swing.

Was at Cains Ballroom (Home of Bob Wills)here in Tulsa, OK, and heard a version of Goodbye Liza Jean, cruised the internet for the best available CD, found you on Youtube and yee-ha you made my day. All the better youre from New England, as was I, and we can swing.

hi, peter-- it's sure been awhile... of course, i went toward the blues looking for you, and found 2120 first (killer guitar in a great band there, too!). charlie sawyer hipped me to your new direction.

i'm going to pass this site along to pedal steel man kayton roberts, who played in hank snow's band for 30 yrs. he now plays with rob mcnurlin's beatnik cowboys, who have a weekly tv show, "ranch party," here in the tri-state (west virginia, kentucky, ohio) area. i'm sure he'll be delighted, if he's not already aware of you.

i'd like to suggest that you get in touch with jorma kaukonen. what you're doing with lone pine would be a perfect fit for the kind of shows which he presents during the summer on his fur peace ranch, located in meigs county, ohio. www.furpeaceranch.com

before i forget, i've got to ask: what's a "yankee swap?" i'm guessing it has nothing to do with baseball, or the bronx...

great to catch up with you again. best wishes, always. --goph

Hi Peter,
I read the notes on your web page and found it so interesting and listened to the mp3 shorts. Nice sound on this album. I didn't think much about Western Swing but heard it off and on played on the radio and some old records I came across. Also cool you got your brother Mudcat to play bass and some other heavy weights from the Boston - East Coast region to play and sing too. Good to finally see the work on this that you mentioned to me on some emails. Good job! Take care and bless always,

Hi Peter, An honor and pleasure to share a spot with you on todays Swingin West show, Western Swing Salute to the Ladies. Looking at your web site and seeing what a big fan of Bob Wills you are thought you would get a kick out of our tribute song we wrote to Bob Wills, "Bob Played Here!" the title song of our 2008 CD. It was based on Bob Playing here in Sacramento California at the Wills Point Night Club in about 1946, 47. Best always, Bill Ward. Leader of Western Lights Band, "Bluegrass and Beyond!"

We were part of the crowd at Gilrein's on Thursday night. You are a multi-talented musician. We enjoyed listening to you on drums, but your guitar work is awesome! Thank you for a great night of listening and dancing.
